Why I Write
I know that most of you have tucked away somewhere a similar picture, or at least a memory, of reading stories in bed. There are three distinct times that come to mind for me.

In the future, the largest publisher will be...
It is clear to me that the answer to all self-published authors nightmares is and will be Amazon.
As an on-line bookseller, they take most titles and by most, I mean 90% of titles being produced. Since they do not have to wharehouse any titles, there is no overhead cost to them offering the title and since they receive a portion of the sales price without having to pay for shipping, it is a purely profit business for them.

How a book is born
Whether it is a person, an animal, or a thing, bringing something from thought to creation is an awesome event.
When people write a book, I always make sure to tell them, congratulations. I know how scary a blank page can be. To fill them with words, approximately 35,000 of them, and then to finish with the words "the end" is an amazing adventure.
