- the time that i told my second grade teacher that i would play the piano for show n tell. i believed that i could and wondered why those girls down the block needed piano lessons. ms. seger rolled the piano in the classroom and i walked up to the front with much confindence as the children sat quietly....waiiting.... i sat down and began pounding on the keys and the sound wasn't quite musical. i was already looking down and that's when i noticed a few shiny gold pedals. i figured they were needed to make this thing sound right...so i began to kick at them. ha! needless, to say i sat there chewing on my fingers( they ones that failed me) and ms. seger said, "yvette doesn't feel like playing today. Is there anyone else that would like to play?" a few children raised their hands and played the theme from "the munsters" and peter peter pumpkin eater. i created an opportunity for others because of my belief in myself. ha!

my bed is my favorite place to read. my bed is my favorite place, period. okay, my bedroom is my favorite place and my bed just happens to be in here.
