Slaves of Heaven by Naleighna Kai

Slaves of Heaven by Naleighna Kai is an adventurous read into a world created for empowerment that is taken to the opposite due to greed and jealousy. This novel actually invokes many emotions while it feeds our spirituality, imagination, sexuality and sensibilities.

This is to date, the hardest review that I have written as I don't know if I can do this novel justice. However, here is my try. :-)

Slaves of Heaven is the bringing to life a dream…

Breaking All My Rules

Trice Hickman penned a novel that held you enticingly enthralled from the onset.  Break All My Rules is the journey of Erica Stanford who was born of wealth and is an owner of an upscale boutique and Jerome Kimbrough who is a street savvy sanitation worker and dedicated father that has changed his life’s path.

This tale begins when these two meet during jury duty and there’s an instant attraction.  As they try to build a future, their union is plagued with…

Sweet 16 is a tragically good read that grabs a hold of you and holds you spellbound. This twisted, morbid tale is about a child that is raped by her father and then doled out by him to all that wanted her.  This disgusting perpetrator of a man allowed people to do any and everything they wanted to this girl as long as they paid him.  With all this happening to Vonda, she attempted to try to maintain a normal facade until she couldn't and her life spent even farther…

Dapper Carter's 8 Rules of Dating is a very engaging novel written from this male's point of view that evokes many reactions as the reading progresses. This tale/journey of Dapper Carter's life for a period of about 4-6 years depicts his change and growth. This is a blatant look at how this male changed from being a womanizing leach to a self-sufficient committed man. Indeed, this was a very interesting read.

Bachelor Unclaimed (ebook)

Brenda Jackson penned yet another novel that was engaging, intriguing and that kept one thoroughly enthralled.  Bachelor Unclaimed is the story of Winston Coltrane, a marine biologist that has developed the “next big thing” a secret major medical formula.  Also, there’s Ainsley St. James, a former NY Times reporter that quits her job to return “home” to run for mayor….a post that she was sure to get as the hometown favorite.

These two meet, spend a…

WOW!! This novel is penned in vivid color with its own musical hue.

Perfect Circle by Alvin L.A. Horn is a very engagingly intriguing read that is penned in vivid color with its own musical hue.  One is captured by the diverse lives of the characters as curiosity is assuaged by explaining the eclectic mixtures of whys.  As one is taken on the journeys of these characters we become so immersed that we are right there, front and center watching things unfold.

The primary male characters are basketball coaches at…

As I consumed Keeping Score....I smiled, I laughed out loud, I was rooting, I was angry as hell, I was literally sitting on the edge of the seat, I was shocked, I was disappointed and even confused among other emotions. JUST WOW!!!!  This was an awesome read and one of the best things is during the game scenes, I WAS THERE!!

Regina Hart did a fabulous job of tell the story of Warrick and Marilyn Evans while expounding on the quest for the NBA…

I'm tempted to try it. Then, again I'm scared. Need another night to think about it. Like your photos with books.
